Puerto Rico Benefit Concert

Y dije: Te ruego, oh Jehová, Dios de los cielos, fuerte, grande y temible, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia a los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos;

Puerto Rico, No Te Hemos Olvidado

En Cristo,

Othoniel Valdes, Pastor de la Congregación Hispana

On September 20th hurricane Maria devastated the island of Puerto Rico, initially wiping out electricity and cellular reception on the entire island and causing billions of dollars in structural damage. Nearly 5 months later much of the island still has no power and there are still debates over the official death toll.

Bell Shoals Baptist Church Hispanic Congregation has directly felt the effects of the aftermath of hurricane Maria, either by family members that moved to Florida leaving everything behind and those family members still on the island living under unimaginable conditions.

God placed in our hearts the desire to do something for the people of Puerto Rico.

Nehemiah 1:4-6

And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.

Saturday February 17th at 7pm, Bell Shoals Baptist Church will be hosting a Benefit Relief Concert to help the people Puerto Rico. The concert will feature two past contestants of American Idol, Scott Macintyre and Jeremy Rosado. Tickets are only $5.00 advance sale online at Bellshoals.com/concert. We invite you to spread the word about this event and join in a night of music and thanksgiving while helping the people of Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico, We have not forgotten

In Christ,

Othoniel Valdes, Pastor of Hispanic Congregation
