R.A. Home
R.A. stands for Royal Ambassadors and their motto is "We are Ambassadors for Christ" (2 Cor. 5:20).This is the mission education program for boys in 1st-6th grade.
R.A.'s learn about mission work and missionaries supported by Southern Baptists. They also do mission and camp craft activities. Every week they recite the R.A. Pledge:
As a Royal Ambassador I will do my best:
- To become a well-informed, responsible follower of Christ;
- To have a Christ-like concern for all people;
- To learn how to carry the message of Christ around the world;
- To work with others in sharing Christ;
- And to keep myself clean and healthy in mind and body.
R.A.'s meet on Wednesday from 7-8:10. "EXTRA" follows from 8:10-8:30. Boys not wishing to participate in EXTRA must be picked up in their classrooms or at the EXTRA location at 8:00 before EXTRA begins. Boys participating in EXTRA! will be walked to the concourse area for pick-up at 8:30 pm.
Parents are encouraged to help in R.A.'s and EXTRA. Presently two more workers are needed.
The award program has been restructured. Boys earn participation in a party as an incentive for completing objectives such as: attendance, class participation, bringing a friend, and participating in monthly mission activities.

January: Homeless shower ministry (collect socks, shampoo, travel size soaps, disposable razors, Q-tips) No lotions or conditioners.
February: Give ’em Heaven Ministry (bring one small bag of Skittles for youth in juvenile detention centers)
March: Tour of BSBC mission area in Welcome Hall & extended prayer time for missionaries
April: Church wide - Feed the Bay (4-14-13)
