Welcome, Dr. Corey Abney!

On Sunday evening, November 24, the Bell Shoals Baptist Church family voted unanimously to extend a call to Dr. Corey Abney to serve as our new Lead Pastor.
On Sunday, December 22, Corey enthusiastically accepted the call.

Who Is Corey Abney?

Corey's Background
Corey has been married to Christina since 1998, and they have four children: Caroline, Cameron, Catherine, and Corey Jr. He has a Doctor of Philosophy in Preaching, Old Testament, and New Testament from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and has served as Lead Pastor of Florence Baptist Church in Florence, KY, since 2012.

His Accomplishments
Corey has led Florence Baptist Church to a 32% increase in worship attendance.
He has led Florence Baptist Church to increase their giving by 35% and to reduce their debt by nearly 50%.
He has led Florence Baptist Church to plant two churches and establish numerous partnerships in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.
He launched a second campus at Florence Baptist Church through the revitalization of a declining church.
He has served as the Lead Pastor at four Kentucky churches: Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Waddy, Kings Baptist Church in Mt. Washington, Highview Baptist Church East Campus in Louisville, and Florence Baptist Church.
