Administrative Assistant to the Executive Pastor

Purpose:

The Administrative Assistant to the Executive Pastor will provide administrative support to help further the mission and ministry of Bell Shoals Church.

Hours: 24-30 hours per week
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support to the Executive Pastor
    1. Manage calendar for major events, staff meetings, and Friday on-call coverage.
    2. Prepare and organize Quarterly Church Conference materials.
    3. Work with Nominating Committee for meetings, notebooks, and vetting process.
    4. Assist front desk receptionist in coverage and ordering office supplies.
    5. Assist in new employee onboarding process.
    6. Track and report attendance data for Annual Church Profile.
  2. General Responsibilities
    1. Use of internal systems such as Event U, Streamline, and Ministry Platform.
    2. Manage budget accounts, purchase orders, check requests, and transfer requests.
    3. Complete other assigned tasks to advance the ministry and mission of Bell Shoals Church.

Qualifications:
  1. College degree preferred, but not required.
  2. Passionate and enthusiastic about the mission of Bell Shoals Church.
  3. Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, including computer skills.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality in regards to personnel, volunteers, and families.
