Finance Controller

1. Financial Management & Accounting Operations: a. Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and month-end/year-end close processes. b. Maintain accurate books in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards. c. Ensure proper coding, allocation, and tracking of expenses across ministry areas. d. Manage bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring/forecasting.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis: a. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and statement of functional expenses). b. Produce budget-vs-actual reports, variance analysis, and other management reports as requested. c. Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the Operations and Executive Pastors. d. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

3. General Responsibilities: a. Represent Bell Shoals Church in a professional manner at all times, both during business hours and in personal life. b. Work with the Operations Pastor and Academy Controller to establish financial protocols to maintain the integrity of the church’s financials. c. Complete other assigned tasks to advance the ministry and mission of Bell Shoals Church. d.
